MSI Properties

Properties are variables. They should must begin with a Letter or underscore. they cannot have spaces in the name. Properties can be set in the property table or via other actions like appsearch.

Properties are 3 types.

PUBLIC Property : A Property that can be changed from outside the MSI i.e. from the command line Options. Public Properties must contain all uppercase letters. They can also be changed using transforms.

private Property : A property that cannot be changed from outside the MSI, these propeties are assigned by the MSI Engine. They are all lower cases.

Restricted : Restricted Public Properties, are Public properties with the distinction being purely based on system or user state i.e depending on if they user is installing the MSI or An administrator is doing it.
