1. Always launch all the shortcuts (That belong to the applicaiton) before you take the second Snapshot. change preferences

Reason : Launching the shortcuts would create any additional files / registry entries required by the application to work normally under locked down user.



2. Why Registry keys are left behind during uninstall.
In the wsi go to the regsitry table in setup editor. Change any entry that is marked "+" to "*"where "+" indicates create empty files during installation."*" indicates create empty files during installation and remove the subkeys during uninstallation.

3. To get to add / Remove Programs type "appwiz.cpl" in the run.

4. To get to the control panel type "Control" in Run.

5. To open Services type "Services.msc".

6. To open Event Viewer, type "Eventvwr.exe".

7. To launch task manager "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Esc".

8. To manually update a group policy on a machine type "gpupdate" or "gpupdate /force" in the run or command prompt.

9. To hide an application from Add/Remove Programs,
Set the ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT property to 1. Thisproperty can be set within the Property table of the package, on the command line, or by means of atransform.
On operating systems earlier than Windows 2000, setting the ARPNOREMOVE property to 1 will hide the application from Add/Remove Programs. On the Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems,ARNOREMOVE disables the Remove button of Add/Remove Programs.

10. ". bat files" are normally processed by command.com - a 16-bit command interpreter. cmd files are normally processed by cmd.exe - a 32-bit interpreter. all bat file syntax is supported by cmd so you don't lose anything. So rename .bat to .cmd files if you use them anywhere
